I'm all for people promoting DW.to their female friends. As for Erinn's reply, I agree with her and I appreciate the directness of her reply. It might not appear nice, but 'stompy boots feminism' may not be all nice all the time ;) In the wider STEM community, I am sure there are many highly capable women who can relate tales of men stepping in to do the 'chivalrous thing' and take over a even so slightly technical problem,only for the poor woman to suffer them completely borking it, or misunderstanding the aim of the project or being so pleased they have got something working that was in fact already working.
