I've addressed the raised issues in the upstream. And made few changes in the package as well (haven't pushed the code yet).
Lintian currently showing following issues
* newer-standards-version 4.7.0
* debian-watch-does-not-check-openpgp-signature
* prefer-uscan-symlink

Are these ignorable? And is there anything else I need to follow to do the version update
 or can I create a fresh setup with only the new version?

Thanks and Regards,
Anoop
