I've had many pleasant and productive communications with James as well. Further, I appreciate the work he and the ftpmasters do to keep Debian working well and not breaking. As a physician, one of the primary rules I was taught in an ancient one: "Primum non nocere" -- first, do no harm. I'll gladly trade rapid and substantial shifts in archive for the stability and well-functioning archive that we enjoy. Sure, in an ideal world, I'd be glad to have ftpmasters *and* (other) Debian developers working on Debian 24-hours a day to make the the most full-featured and up-to-date Linux distribution. But, we are all volunteers. I think we should appreciate the postive things this group of volunteers have created and not get inflammed/insulting over its weaknesses. -- Kevin Rosenberg [EMAIL PROTECTED] > I expect it's because we say things like "James, have you got a minute?" > and "thanks for your help" instead of "[YOU] ARE [TOO] LAZY TO WORK AND > [TOO] LEET TO COMMUNICATE WITH SECOND-CLASS DDs.
