It is quite possible that the fix is a simple fix, moving an alloc/free to a slightly different scope. (Assuming I read gitlab correctly!) It would be the perfect kind of simple fix to including in a patch release. However, my experience seems to indicate that few maintainers will actually do real bug fix releases. mrc
