apt-get install sane and xsane. The latter pulled the scanner and I
scanned without a sweat.
Awesome. It's looking, day after day, as if I'm not going back to OSX or
Windows; anymore!
I knew about sane way back when, when informed forms then talked of
linux as a project, a hobby; but boy! has stuff come a long way. And my
hat's off to folks like those on SANE, they have been around almost as
long as Linux. And sane has some great features I have not seen in all
these years.
