It automagically found and selected the right. I the link asked to select a particular driver; that wasn't an option presented.
Now, now, if I can only scan to the machine. That will be asking too much, I suppose, given Canon's retrogressive moves by not opening up their drivers. That's OK, printing is good enough. And as well, it's important to note that I did not touch CUPS. But I did use it to delete the printer it added, which never did work.
