I just downloaded linuxxdoom from iD, and I'm having some problems with it. Here's what happened:

$ ./linuxxdoom
./linuxxdoom: can't load dynamic linker '/lib/ld.so'

Problem is, /lib/ld.so is there.

$ ll /lib/ld.so

Dunno.

Running as root comes up with the same problem.

Help? Is WINE really the answer?

I wouldn't think so.

Why not just "apt-get install prboom" or "apt-get install lxdoom"? Very easy. Perhaps linuxxdoom is newer or has more features?

Also, you might need to "apt-get install doom-wad-shareware"
