Running as root comes up with the same problem.I wouldn't think so.
Help? Is WINE really the answer?
Why not just "apt-get install prboom" or "apt-get install lxdoom"? Very easy. Perhaps linuxxdoom is newer or has more features?
Also, you might need to "apt-get install doom-wad-shareware"
