Ad I see it, the problem with a multiprotocol client isn't with the 
inherent difficulty of settin gon up, but with the way the proprietary
protocols keep changing so that it's a continuous reverse-engineering 
issue.

Multiprotocol between open protocols shouldn't be that hard.
