There are many different techniques. SAMBA, NFS, FTP, even Konqueror-based FTP so it copies just like you are copying from one directory to another. I like SSH for command line file copying. Make sure that the SSH daemon is running on the other machine, and from the machine you are logged into type, "scp file [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/username/" The syntax for scp is the same for common tasks as copying with "cp", just add the [EMAIL PROTECTED] to either the source or destination depending on which way you're copying the file. I'm sure lots of other folks will tell you how they like to do it. - -- September 11th, 2001 The proudest day for gun control and central planning advocates in American history -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) iQEVAwUBRFT3Ui9Y35yItIgBAQLC4Af/Xpi4c82N3ojsYO46LWjtfgfhckw+dcHV cNA26cmIQZL/UTXb8RZ66MqLSZCZJ1Awn1rdFCTA/nwNTuN7uluZdJFqXTPgeoWY 363c19wQuDycHv4nupSmFFReSKOcIQGl0a5HfYHedAqv/T0/7Zr72DV3pyOXgYSB AplkGyzj5d0/de9vA9v1Egn0Uq2GR7D8m0pi/oc21NiU81Rg1XHZHt0hwprZh/qP vsumH/lcB2Jsgse9t1F2+3flKGVM3CXiVT1kcuzGJp7aC0N3FuvS4p0P7DcON3jF BdHtd7691e2S2AFrd/L0BDC4TzwvxEZzVw3GORJ4zejjphO0DtJtdg== =YJnh -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
