Please help me uninstall Tabbrowser Extensions. I feel like Mozilla has
caught a disease, and I can't get rid of it. Please see
http://piro.sakura.ne.jp/xul/tabextensions/index.html.en to know what
I'm speaking of. I tried pressing the "uninstall" button that comes
included with the so-called Tabbrowser Extensions program, but that
failed. I tried installing Extension Manager (with Extention
Uninstaller) and running it to remove Tabbrowser Extensions, but that
failed. I tried removing the directory "tabextensions" and the file
"tabextensions.js", but they just reappeared. It was like trying to
remove a malignant tumour, only to have it reappear.
Anyway, I use Debian Linux 3.1 (Sarge), with Mozilla 1.7.8. I have
Tabbrowser Extensions version 1.14.2005.040701. I've tried to
reconfigure, and reinstall the Mozilla package, but that does not work.
I was going to completely remove Mozilla (including the config files)
and then reinstall, but this was not an option with the Debian package
system. The entire Gnome Windows Desktop Environment relies upon
Mozilla; so, removing Mozilla would also remove the entire Desktop
Environment of my computer.
I must be rid of this tumour to my browsing experience. I can't even
open a tab with the middle button anymore, and the tabbed behaviour is
quite erratic.
