I just bought a Soundblaster Live! soundcard, and I can't get it to work. I'm running Debian GNU/Linux with the 2.4.19-pre8 kernel. When I do a "modprobe emu10k1" it says: /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre8/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre8/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre8/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.19-pre8/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o: insmod emu10k1 failed
I tried reseating the card to make sure it was in there good, but it still didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks, Ben Pharr
