If I am correct, Gee I hate using a crystal ball, your above mode lines might be your problem. The XF86Config man page shows the format as this: Mode "1024x768" DotClock 85.00 HTimings 1024 1080 1200 1368 VTimings 768 776 779 823 EndMode If your running X 3.x, I am I am wasting my time.
