The attraction of wvdial is that right out of the box it shows the chat script messages, without having to configure a thing. The one problem I had was killing the darn thing; it would just redial. (I was using the downloaded base system, from which I was going to download the rest of the installation, and found out that \"killall\" as a command is not in the base system!)
