at least i'd like to see the output of it..
startx usually does not start because:
- wrong X server ( /usr/X11R6/bin/X* )
- wrong modes ( 1024x768 or less or higher )
- wrong monitor spec ( HoriSync and VertRefresh ) see spec from your
monitor
- wrong video memory ( wierd output )
- other wacky config issues ??
