Have you tried evolution 1.5 and evolution-exchange in experimental?
I've been using 1.5 for mail only (not exchange, tho) for months with no
problems.

Under 1.5 I had this problem where every now and then when you clicked 
on a html message, it would say 'formatting message' on the status bar 
forever (where 'forever' means until I got sick of waiting) and never 
display it. It happened fairly regularly.

So now I've gone to evolution 2 from experimental. There was no matching 
evolution-exchange package, so I downloaded the current ximian-connector 
source from Novell and built it using the debian/ directory from the 1.5 
package. It compiled first time and seems to work fine.

I still get the 'formatting message' problem very occasionally, but not 
nearly so often. I'm running a mixed system so it's probably my fault.
