Hi, How is your Harddrive connected to your computer? Is it on a second PCI-IDE controller? If that's the case I belive you have enabled a Kernel config option named "Boot off-board chipsets first support" (CONFIG_BLK_DEV_OFFBOARD). That would explain what's going wrong.
