The other potentially impacted package was jfsutils-1.1.15 It is fully reproducible, the code removed from CDBS had no impact on what debhelper does at the low level; it creates perfectly fine udeb with or without this code. I will replicate the same experiment tomorrow with fonts-noto; I only need 10 gigabytes of free hard disk space or something. > I will not oppose Alexandre fixing this issue using dh sequencer. > (My next planned work on fonts-noto is a major refactoring anyway.) I gave a try to font-roboto, that was an easy one. fonts-noto looks indeed really complex to handle. I would iterate through other things to do first [*] and certainly don't want to bother people busy with conflicting modernizing attempts. [*] I had for example to upload ~5 multimedia package to uncruft oss4-dev library that was lingering in the index as it was previously used for kfreebsd support; and itself was keeping a ghost depedency on cdbs. See you tomorrow
