I have experienced great results with wondershaper and was very happy with it, until I realized that it was limiting the bandwidth when my computer was communicating with other computers on my LAN too. Would it be conceivable to add an option to either: - restrict the rules to the traffic going to the gateway. - exclude a set of IP addresses from the rules (e.g. the addresses in the netmask of the interface). I thought of a workaround using virtual interfaces — one for the Internet traffic and another one for the local network —, but it defeats the fact that wondershaper is a very simple solution that took me seconds to get up and running.
