It seems a sufficient quantity of people object to even the merest mention of 'kibibytes' as shorthand for 'bytes divided by 1024 and rounded' that only the fully expanded wording will be acceptable. The wording without it is unambiguous: The disk space is given as the integer value of the installed size in bytes divided by 1024 and rounded. I guess that perhaps the '-ibibytes' standard will eventually die, and everything will just become multiples of 1000, as it should be. In the meantime, regardless of the success of failure of the standard, this wording is at least correct for the current behaviour. My preferred wording would be to define it in terms of kibibytes, but include the explanation, since it seems it is an unfamiliar standard, as follows: The disk space is given as the integer value of the installed size in kibibytes (i.e. bytes divided by 1024).
