Triggerhappy 0.3.0 brings some new features; individual devices can now be tagged, so that pressing a certain key on a USB keyboard can trigger a hotkey handler, while pressing the identical key on the system keyboard cannot; It is also possible to let triggerhappy grab a device exclusively; the daemon can also generate synthetic key events (using uinput) that can be processed by other applications.
