I completely agree that everything not addressed should be filed as a bug (which then, of course, ends up on tracker.debian.org). Hopefully, before you file a RFS, you have found all of these things and already fixed them, although you are welcome to file a bug and mark it as fixed in the changelog if you think that will be helpful to users. If Phil Wyett’s triage of the RFS pulls up problems you did not discover during your preparing of the package, please feel free to address them as soon as you receive the email from Phil. Again, you can feel free to address them without filing a bug or you can file a bug and mark it as fixed in the changelog if you think that would be best. In any case, anything that is serious should be addressed before the package is sponsored and there should be plans to address anything that is not fixed in this upload in a future upload. The service that Phil is providing by triaging all RFS submission has greatly improved the Debian Mentors experience, both for those submitting the packages and those sponsoring them. I know I have personally learned a lot from some of the things he has found, and I appreciate the easy things being picked off before I do a more detailed analysis of a package in preparation for sponsoring it. -- Soren Stoutner so...@debian.org
