Soren, Earlier today we released open62541 v1.4.6. We put the Debian package on hold until this release due to a security related issue under an embargo period for the public release.
The package is now updated to v1.4.6 and uses the multiple upstream tarball (MUT) pattern. Mentors shows no more issues (#16) and the package is up to date on Salsa (https://salsa.debian.org/jpfr/open62541). >From our current understanding the package is good to go.
