-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello,
I was wondering if I could consider fortunes to be in public domain, or if I have to have an exact permission from the person that collected them. The problem is that I got a database of atheist fortunes from Wayne Aiken's site (http://www4.ncsu.edu/~aiken/), but there is no explicit copyright for those. I believe that, since the quotes are either anonymous or widely-used quotes from celebrities or dead presidents, the thing is legally public domain, but I'd like to hear your opinion before ITP'ing. [ if you're reading this in -legal, please Cc: to me ] Thanks, Carlos - -- carlos laviola - icq #55799523 $ chown us:us /your_base -R chown: what you say!! -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE63cUHZAYCJzUW03IRAsQXAJ9X6PSzrJMdApjZ9Nm0Ajio5xX/PQCeIi9P K9fHySzP4z2J/3dmB4MkYb8= =hCY6 -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
