Hi Fred, thank you for replying

The command 'shutdown -hP now' still does not work when run as root. I
think i will have to wait for Jessie Stable to be released and then try it.
Maybe there is a bug in the Kernel 3.16. [?]

Anyone here using the kernel 3.16 ?
