 - man wvlan_cs => loading options ;

 - see iwconfig in:

   http://www.hpl.hp.com/personal/Jean_Tourrilhes/Linux/Tools.html

it's used in /etc/pcmcia/wireless.

I don't know for *BSD, sorry.
