As suggested by another user, I have also tried passing the parameter
"acpi_osi=Linux" to the kernel at boot with no luck.
The fan is working perfectly with previous kernel: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64
I used the acpi -V command on both kernels and there is an interesting
line that changes:
On 3.2 kernel:
# acpi -V
(...)
Cooling 3: Fan 1 of 1
On 3.9 kernel:
# acpi -V
(...)
Cooling 3: Fan 0 of 1
Please, let me know if I can help in any way. I cannot use the 3.9
kernel since the laptop overheats and smells kind of toasted circuitry.
