Looks like the reason for this effect is the display scaling I'm using: With 140% or 150%, the fonts look rough, with 100% the fonts look smooth. BUT: Only the message pane is affected! Not the composer window. Even with 140% or 150% the fonts in the composer window look smooth. This is a regression when switching to kmail 6.3.0 (24.12). Frank
