Dear all,
I have now at least some improvement to report. I have updated
the texlive-binary packages and made a new texlive-base checkout.
With these the following things work:
* building the *English* release notes
fonts are ok
* normal xelatex documents
gsfonts can be used again
What works not perfectly but much better:
* building the *Russian* release notes
normal text works without any problem, but
boldface fonts/headers are still broken
I am investigating the last problem now.
As we are anyway completely stalled due to libstdc++ transition,
nothing can be uploaded for at least the next month. I hope till
that time also the last problem can be resolved.
