Hi,

I have a similar issue with proftpd-mod-mysql. I tend to make the
proftpd-mod-mysql a transitional package, which pulls in the to-be-created
package proftpd-mod-mariadb.

Dito with libreoffice-sdbc-mysql.

https://packages.debian.org/sid/amd64/libreoffice-sdbc-mysql/filelist:

/usr/lib/libreoffice/program/libmysqlclo.so
/usr/lib/libreoffice/share/registry/mysqlc.xcd
/usr/share/bug/libreoffice-sdbc-mysql/presubj
/usr/share/doc/libreoffice-sdbc-mysql/changelog.Debian.gz
/usr/share/doc/libreoffice-sdbc-mysql/copyright

It lready builds against libmariadb (as upstream does) :)

I believe renaming the package to -mariadb and still containing mysqlc (which
is how it is known, and I don't fancy a intrusive patch renaming mysqlc to
mariadbc...) would be bad and I won't do that. I am not sure it's wortwhile to
rename -sdbc-mysql to -sdbc-mariadb either...
