Hello, I don't think there's a need to use a Debian-specific name for this concept. 'master' or 'main' are fine.
debian/bookworm etc.. are a different story; I am glad we have those. As there is much disagreement, maybe we could drop the default branch name part of the DEP and mark the rest of it as ACCEPTED. I don't think any other parts have disagreement. -- Sean Whitton
