Well, the point I wanted to make here was more about the speculative
far better traction
of reporting bugs ... I would even dare to write that the continued
existence of this bug report alone for more than 15 years, with all its
comments, proves perfectly that you were wrong about that. And I do
really think that this is really unfortunate, but that's still a sad and
hard fact. Which doesn't imply that asking for the same thing on a
mailing-list is any better in terms of getting things done.
