I think that the best solution to many of the worlds problems would be to provide really cheap laptops and good net access (including satellite net access). The idea is that everyone in the world should be able to download whatever they like (with a few exceptions such as child porn). That would cause thecracies to break apart because of the demand for porn. Autocratic regeimes would tumble due to free information. The world would be a much better place. Iridium would be a good network for world satellite net access. Linux would be a good OS for the terminals.
