Maybe someone with a little knowledge of C could add a -q --quiet parameter to the debian source? Then the default behaviour would be to honour Hans Reiser's wishes to the full extent. People needing to have a quiet run (from scripts or whatever could deliberately suppress the messages. Using the -q switch implies that you know the contents of the accreditation, but do not wish your scripts to be let in on the secret as well. Unfortuneately I do not program C.
