2.2r1 included a new mozilla, because I was feeling adventurous, because it didn't have any impact on other package, and for a couple of other reasons I can't recall now. It also included a broken libc6 for sparc, and r2 was released a week or two later. 2.2r3 and onwards were managed by Joey (Martin Schulze, as flamed on slashdot!), and only include security updates.
