I never did much actual translating work.  I was the coordinator of
Debian Reference for quite a long time (basically review bug reports and
check other people's work into CVS) until Faris Xiao stepped up and took
over.  I proofread 2/3 of the sarge Installation Manual.  But that's
probably all my involvement in documentation translation.

Neither do I.  However you need to submit patches to them, instead of
trying to persuade me.
