Yes, SF uses whatever it thinks is latest. I always figured they'd
pick the latest by date, but I too think they somehow sort by release
name. Using the naming scheme you suggested will probably solve this
one as well.

It adds a couple of new features. The most important user-visible one
is that libdbi now supports "instances". That is, each process can
handle one or more separate instances of libdbi, initialize them
separately and shut them down individually. This capability was
requested by authors of programs which load storage modules at
runtime. In this case, unloading a libdbi linked module would
otherwise shut down libdbi support for other modules, or even for the
main program as well. Also, we've added a few convenience functions to
retrieve entries as integer or string values regardless of the
underlying data type of the field. Besides, a boatload of minor issues
was fixed.

I wish I had the time to test it, but I'm pretty much pressed these
days. However, I've recently installed QEMU on one of my boxes. Are
there any decent Debian or Ubuntu images out there?
