This was already reported (without details but with the same 1-character fix) in PR #641: https://github.com/codership/galera/pull/641 in June 2023 but no response ever happened. That's what I initially wrote in this bug report and why I wasn't eager to report it (again) to upstream. I hesitate between a comment on the existing PR or the creation of an other PR with the description of what might have happened in the hope of getting more attention.
