Hello, I need some advice regarding this bug. Unforuntately i don't know nothing about initramfs, and David Härdeman, the one who usually does all the cryptsetup initramfs stuff, is unavailable currently.
Could somebody comment on this patch, so that the fix can make it into etch in case that it is ok? ... jonas ----- Forwarded message from Leonard Norrgard <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- Date: Thu, 28 Dec 2006 11:56:57 +0200 From: Leonard Norrgard <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [Pkg-cryptsetup-devel] Bug#402417: handle chainmode/essiv "plain" correctly To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Reply-To: Leonard Norrgard <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] [ Leonard Norrgård <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ] * Make sure that crypto modules for the root filesystem are added to the image, but only if not specified as "plain", as "plain" is handled internally in dm-crypt. * Use the same terminlogy as dm-crypt does ("chainmode").
