Colin mentioned on IRC recently that strings that can be preseeded are not really only "for internal use", so we should find some better description to cover that. I'd suggest requesting that lintian also check for something like "not translatable on purpose". Then we can set descriptions like: "not translatable on purpose: used for preseeding" "not translatable on purpose: for internal use" Or, if we want to avoid a change in lintian, we can try to incorporate "for internal use" somehow, maybe: "for internal use; can be preseeded".
