Could you request such a quote, scan it and send it to us?
Maybe this could help.
We have received a demand for payment/notice to pay from a German
university before who wanted to see money for exhibition space.
That would be as good as an invoice.

In Germany (Europe?) a company issues invoices if they want to receive
money from their customers. They are usually issued before the payment
is done - except if you purchase and pay something in a shop, then you'll
pay at the same time you receive the invoice.
