That solves my problem.  Thanks.

One other question, when dbmail forwards the message to the second 
external email address, in the maillog log file it shows a from address 
that doesn't match the one from the original message sent.  What from 
address actually appears in the message when it is forwarded to an 
external address?

The DBMail way of doing it:

insert the following in your aliases (dbmail_aliases in DBMail 2.0) table:

alias                                           deliver_to
[EMAIL PROTECTED]                  1                          (assuming 
1 is the user_idnr of the user, check this in your users table)
[EMAIL PROTECTED]                 [EMAIL PROTECTED]

DBMail will then store a copy of the message in user1's mailbox, and 
forward a copy to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
