Hello,

I was under the assumption from another post that you could alias an address to another email address in the alias table instead of sending it to a mailbox. This would create a forwarding address. When I do this though, I get the following error:

This is the DBMAIL-SMTP program.
I'm sorry to inform you that your message, addressed to [EMAIL PROTECTED],
could not be delivered due to the following error.
*** E-mail address [EMAIL PROTECTED] is not known here. ***
If you think this message is incorrect please contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Header of your message follows...

The address that I'm forwarding to is outside my domain, so I thought it might of been a relay issue, but I still get the error when I open up the doors on Postfix to all relays.

Is even possible to do? I can't find the original post that I saw the technique on right now. Or is it only possible to local accounts?

-Micah
