Ok, here is my experience thus far. On nix i am using: dbmail, qmail, and squirrellmail.

I can send to dbmail mailboxes if and ONLY if I first login to squirrelmail using the dbmail-imap server. If i login to the exchage server and send to a mailbox on dbmail, it immediatly bounces back saying:

<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Sorry, no mailbox here by that name. (#5.1.1)

I dont even see how this is possible. I have qmail setup properly to deliver to dbmail. This is obvious since i can send if i login to the dbmail imap server. But, which imap server i am logged into should not affect how mail is sent. But apparently it does.

Ok, but other than that, I can login to dbmail imap just fine. It authenticates, but from there i cannot read messages from squirrelmail. I have done testing and find that neitehr imap_headers nor imap_fetch_overview [php functions] will work. I have done some reading on dbmail + squirrelmail and i have squirrelmail set to "other" for the imap server type.

If you could share your experiences with me, I would like to hear them. I first heard of dbmail on this mailing list, so I know there are other people here that have maybe experienced these same issues, or use better work-arounds. Thanks in advance.
