Hello, This seems like a sound gameplan; I think your original message in this thread soliciting additional patches to throw in prior to a 1.1 release could be asking for the same problems the 1.0 release had (ie. too many changes w/o enough time to work issues out). Just wrap up the minimal things (eg. autoconf, maybe the auth hooks Aaron's requesting), like you said here.
