Good idea, I just did that, copied the whole darktable directory from the "good" machine and I get the same error in the "bad" machine. So maybe is a matter of dependencies.
I am not a heavy windows user myself. As Pascal suggested, is there a command like "ldd" in linux that helps me find missing libraries? I see also that a patch was added after release, modifying Cmake to add a reference to a library for the Thai language (i think)"libthai" in the windows installation but I did not think that could be the problem....
