..that old picture again? it has a ton of noise in green. fwiw i like what i can do in dt better than the fine grained noise that stays in the OP's RT version. but as pascal pointed out, it seems to be a waste of time to comment on this here. noise preferences are very subjective, and yes, by all means, if DPP works for you please use it!
if you want a similar result from dt you can probably create a style/preset so it would be fast to apply it to other images in the future. if you convince enough people that this is a useful preset for many, we can also ship such a thing with vanilla dt. to answer one of the original questions: it's relatively straight forward to port rawtherapee code to our source tree. our pipeline needs a bit more functionality (preview and scaled regions of interest and such).
