The current sqlite3 package is from 2020 and is seriously out of date, missing
many core functions that have been added since then.
I have never built/contributed an updated package, but would be willing to try
if the current maintainer, Jan Nijtmans (according to the source page) is no
longer available or doesn't have the time. I have a development background,
mostly Linux.
The Contributor's Guide page says "The package summary page should link to the
packaging git repository..." but such a link does not appear to be available at
https://cygwin.com/packages/summary/sqlite3-src.html
If accepted, one of the admins may be able to import the history into a repo at:
https://cygwin.com/git/?p=git/cygwin-packages/sqlite3.git
If someone can point me in the right direction I'll give it a try. I will
probably have questions, should I post them here?
