I was told that they are compatible,  but after poking around on the web a
bit I have my doubts that this is going to work.

If not, I will either have to replace the chips,  or send back the
motherboard and build 2 quads instead.   For my usage 2 quads are probably
better than an octal.

I have heard hints that someone has (or is making) motherboards that will
support dual i7 but it may not be quite as efficient.   I will look into
that too.
