Does Linux have a decent development environment yet? After using Visual studio, it would be a horrible loss of productivity to go back to vi/make/gdb. Of course the linux command line tools are great when you want them, but they are available on Windows through cygwin, so by developing on Windows I get the best command line tools and the best IDE.
Since I sell software, building Linux apps is out of the question, since Linux users will insist that I give them my work for free.
