The principle use of such agencies is to provide ratings for purchasers of chess programs that run on windows computers. That's enough right there to turn my stomach! I don't know if any of these agencies even allow linux or mac programs, I haven't really checked to find out. But they certainly wouldn't allow programs running on hardware like yours. However, in principle any hardware could be allowed if you supplied it for them - even on a temporary borrow basis. Alas, I don't think computer go is ready for this yet. If/when programs get really strong and the competition and sales of go programs turns into a big industry with competition from dozens of programs, such a thing would probably happen. - - Don -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHDoPbDsOllbwnSikRAnqeAJ4xEm8bMSAWsI1OnvrUQVbsOcgNIACgvwpu doS4EFOYx663mH3KiKIVktA= =tir4 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ computer-go mailing list computer-go@computer-go.org http://www.computer-go.org/mailman/listinfo/computer-go/
